Lauren Lester

Lauren graduated with honours from the school of Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism at Lakehead University. She continued her education by completing her teaching degree with specializations in Outdoor Experiential Education, Geography, and First Nations Education. Lauren has worked as an instructor and guide for organizations such as Outward Bound, ALIVE Outdoors, Up North Adventures, and Camp Keewaydin.

 While not working, you can find Lauren shredding the local trails on her mountain bike, paddling on a calm lake, and laughing with friends . Lauren believes that positive time spent in the wilderness is key to cultivating a connection to nature. By facilatiating positive outdoor experiences, Lauren hopes to contribute to a society that cares about the conservation and protection of our environment.


Steven Anderson

Steven is an avid adventurer. From climbing volcanoes in Central America, scuba diving in Colombia, to heli-biking in British Columbia, Steven is truly someone who wants to "do it all". 

Steven graduated with honours degrees in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Tourism and Geography while specializing in Tourism. At University he was able to fine tune his trip management, leadership, and commercial tourism skills. During this time, he was able to help good friends Jackie Chan and Gary Hayes, realize their dream by helping in the creation of Outdoor Leadership Camp for Youth. OLCY is a volunteer driven not-for-profit organization that operates in Canada, Jamaica, and Nepal. 


Ian Weir

Ian was born in Stratford, Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology, he is a paramedic, a member of a Special Operations Medical Extrication Team, and a back-country rescuing team in the Yukon. Ian is an avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys cross-country skiing, hiking, downhill skiing, kite boarding, running, biking, and adventure racing. He is excited to share his skills and passion for the outdoors with Wildside Adventures.
